Collections

Screen your whole debtor book in one run.

Stop spot-checking names. Gazette Search matches every account in your book against UK Gazette notices — insolvencies, bankruptcies, deceased estates — and shows you exactly which debtors’ circumstances changed.

The problem

You can’t upload a debtor book to The Gazette. You can only check it one name at a time.

The Gazette’s own search takes one query at a time — there is no way to check a whole list in a single pass. The only other option is its Research Service: a manual, paid lookup at £30 for one name, ordered on a PDF form by email or post, with no stated turnaround. The published rates stop at ten names. Carry the cheapest of them out to a thousand-account book and you are at £20,000, submitted on paper.

So teams check the names someone remembered to look up — or don’t check at all. An account you are no longer legally entitled to keep collecting on sits in the active queue until somebody happens to notice the notice.

Gazette Search is the bulk alternative: upload the whole book, get every match back in seconds.

Workflow

How collections teams use it

  1. Upload the book — company numbers and names, straight from your system.

  2. Get the matches — which accounts appear in notices, with the details that change your next action: practitioner contacts, case numbers, deadlines.

  3. Route the work — export matched accounts to CSV and feed your collections workflow: stop chasing, file the claim, contact the practitioner.

Outcomes

What changes operationally

Chase lists get cleaner.

Insolvent and deceased accounts leave the dialler queue instead of wasting agent time.

Claims get filed inside the window.

Deceased-estate and insolvency notices carry deadlines — matched accounts surface them.

One process, not tribal knowledge.

The same screen, run the same way, whatever the book size.
